God, you are a good father who does not leave his children. Our Savior knows what it is like to have no place to lay his head. He has fed countless multitudes and promised to prepare a place for us, just as His Father prepared Eden for our first parents. It was never your intent for any one of your people to not have a place to call home, to be alone in the world, and to be held captive to addiction. The death and resurrection of your Son, Jesus Christ, has broken the bonds which hold too many of your people. We know that you are faithful and shall free them from addiction, bringing them to the reality of freedom in Christ. We look forward to the day when your kingdom is a consummated reality, a reality where none of your children go begging for bread, nor cry the tears of the pain afflicted against them, nor have no place to lay their head.
